NEW PEDESTRIAN CROSSING SIGNAL ON POSEYVILLE ROAD

September 25, 2012 Beginning Thursday, September 27, a new pedestrian crossing signal will be activated on Poseyville Road just north of Ashby Road. The crossing is located on the pedestrian/bike path that leads to Overlook Park.

Once activated, motorists and pedestrians will notice flashing yellow and red signal lights that indicate motorists must stop when the signal is activated by a pedestrian. A YouTube video showing how the signal works is located at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7x_4Wu8EnQ.

The signal was installed in a joint effort between the Midland County Road Commission, The Dow Chemical Company, and the City of Midland.  As the signal is located in Midland Township, the road commission will maintain it.
