CITY OF MIDLAND SEEKS APPLICANTS FOR DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY BOARD
October 18, 2013 Ė Midland residents: interested in helping to foster a dynamic downtown?† Then apply today for a position on the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) Board of Directors.
Applications to fill a vacancy on the DDA board will be accepted until 5 p.m., Friday, November 1.† The term of office expires on May 1, 2016.
The goal of the DDA is to make Downtown Midland a retail community that also provides a fun, relaxing, family-friendly atmosphere to the community.† The DDA utilizes special taxes captured from property owners in the downtown business district to help create and implement development plans, issue bonds, and prevent deterioration of the downtown area.† †
Application forms are available on the City of Midland website, www.midland-mi.org, or in hard copy form through the City Managerís Office, 333 W. Ellsworth St.† Applicants must be city residents.
