SEEKING MBS AIRPORT COMMISSION APPLICANTS

 

September 6, 2013 Ė Interested Midland citizens have three weeks to apply for an MBS International Airport Commission citizen at large vacancy.

 

The MBS International Airport Commission is the governing body of the airport that is jointly owned by the City of Midland, Bay County, and the City of Saginaw. Each owner is represented by three members for a total number of nine commissioners. Midland commissioners include a City of Midland representative; a citizen at large from within the city; and a member of Midland City Council. Members serve a term of three years.

 

Applications for the citizen at large position will be accepted until 5 p.m., Friday, September 27, 2013. Forms are located on the City of Midland website, www.midland-mi.org, or as hard copies through the City Managerís Office, 333 W. Ellsworth St.

 

Boards and commissions advise the City of Midland on issues important to the municipality. Most positions do not require extensive expertise, just a willingness to serve. Applicants must be city residents. All persons who have previously applied for a board or commission vacancy are asked to submit a new application.
